McMinnville resident and East St. Louis, Ill., native Dorothy Louise Sprovero, 99, was born Nov. 27, 1919 and died Sept. 29 at The Webb House Retirement Center.
A retired LPN with Warren Regional Hospital and NHC McMinnville and member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Luetta Reeves Dark. She was married Dec. 31, 1941 to Salvatore Joseph “Sam” Sprovero, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister Tangee Vanderplym.
Mrs. Sprovero is survived by three children, Mike Sprovero of McMinnville, Ron (Stacy) Sprovero of Ravenel, S.C. and Jackie (Rob) Patterson of McMinnville, six grandchildren, Tony (Jill) Sprovero, Adrianne (Jamie) Sicard, Sarah (Chris) Ricket, Robby (Sony) Patterson, Chris (Veronica) Patterson and Kathy Patterson, 11 great-grandchildren and niece Karen Horvarth of Florida.
Funeral service was 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at High’s Chapel with Jackie Matheny officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
