McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Dorothy Jean Womack, 84, was born Jan. 31, 1928 and died unexpectedly Feb. 1 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A homemaker and member of the Highland Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Fonnie and Della May Harris Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, John B. Carter; brother, John B. "Brownie" Carter and three sisters, Dora Kay Algie, Alvie George and Carolyn June McCormick.
