McMinnville resident and Cullman, Ala., native Dorothy “Dot” Weddington, 82, was born Aug. 21, 1931 and died Sept. 4 at her residence following an extended illness.A retired clerk with Fred’s and a member of Morrison Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Fritz Mueller and the late Hilda Shepard. She was married Oct. 15, 1949 to Ernest Edward Weddington, who preceded her in death Jan. 24, 1996. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roy E. Weddington; brother, Clifford Mueller and sister, Sandy Mueller.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Charlotte Weddington of McMinnville; two brothers, Carl Mueller and Winfred Mueller, both of Ohio; sister, Doris Mueller of Ohio; several nieces and nephews and her spiritual family at Morrison Church of Christ.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Roger Comstock officiating.
