McMinnville resident Doris Rackley, 80, died Sept. 1.A self-employed nurseryman and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he attended Sink Creek Missionary Baptist Church.The son of the late Carmen and Mary Ward Rackley, he was preceded in death by brother, Norvel Rackley and sister, Hazel Maynard.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Rackley; five children, Diana and John Mitchell of Bradyville, Eddie and Joyce Rackley, Dwight and Michelle Rackley, Dewayne and Connie Rackley, all of McMinnville, Terry and Brenda Rackley of Woodbury; 15 grandchildren, Heather, John, Kristen, Holly, J.T., Sabrina, Amanda, Tess, Reahnna, Joshua, Jessica, Jonathon, Dominique, Christopher and Justin; nine great-grandchildren and sister, Virginia Rackley of Indiana; several nieces, nephews and friends.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithville with John Jones officiating. Burial will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with military honors.
