Doranella Henegar, 81

McMinnville resident Doranella Henegar, 81, succumbed to a two-week illness in Vanderbilt University Medical Center Thursday afternoon Oct. 9.
She was a native of Pennington Gap, Va., and daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Carnes Conyer. She was married March 8, 1955 to Alton Henegar, a retired World War II veteran, who preceded her in death in 1984.
She is survived by six sons and a daughter, Timothy Ryan Henegar and wife, Kathy Henegar of Mount Juliet, Franklin Nelson, Christopher Maxwell, Walter Orlando, Alton Ray and Benjamin Wesley of McMinnville and Ramona Lisa Henegar Robinson and husband, Randall Robinson of Nashville; sister, Shelby Conyer Barnes and husband, Kenneth Barnes of Harlan, Ky.; granddaughter, Christina Ryan Henegar of Beaufort, S.C., as well as several nieces and nephews.
Doranella was a big supporter of the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and military veteran causes. In lieu of flowers, it is her wish everyone support one of these causes. A private family service and burial to be performed in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
