Morrison, resident and Van Buren County native Donnie Wayne Medley, 59, was born Jan. 28, 1957 and died June 20 at Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro following a brief illness. A self-employed plumber and electrician and a United States Army veteran, he was the son of the late John and Juanita Walker Medley.He was married June 11 to Laura Kunkel Medley of Morrison. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Jason Medley of Morrison, Clint Medley of Japan, and Carly Medley Blankenship of Morrison; two stepchildren, Ashleigh Starchman of Spokane, Wash., and Jared Vogel of Morrison; seven grandchildren, Josie Medley, Jacob, Jeremiah and Nova Blankenship, James Christian Medley, Scarlet Vogel and Brilynn Vogel; brother Jim Medley of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Gladys Burgess and Opal Medley, both of Crossville; and several nieces, nephews and numerous special friends.
