Dickie Ray Rogers, 77, of McMinnville passed from this life Friday, June 1, at his home.
Dickie was born Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1940 in McMinnville. A U.S. Army veteran, he was the son of the late Lester Rogers and the late Virginia Ruth Rigsby.
He is survived by his wife Vivia Lois Rogers, two sons Richard Rogers and Andy Rogers Sr. and wife Jaime, daughter Debra Rogers, two stepchildren Stormy Eutsler, John J. Wilson and wife Angela, seven grandchildren Andy Rogers Jr., Gideon Rogers, Gabriel Rogers, Azalea Rogers, Alexis Alcorn, Joshua Rigsby, and Andrew Grigsby, two great-grandchildren Elias Grigsby and Cadence Todd, six step-grandchildren Kristen, Kelsey, John Wilson Jr. and wife Melia, Daniel Pulley and wife Tonya, Brittany Pulley, and Alexis Phennessee, seven step-great-grandchilden McKenna, Austin, Alyssa, T.J., Amiyis, Caleb, and Jacob, nephew Kevin Evans, great nieces Lacey Sweeney, and Mindy Evans, great nephews Ethan Evans and Ryan Evans, cousins Larry Gooch, Judy Gooch, and Mary Barnes. Many other family members and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Dickie was preceded in death by his sister Linda Evans.
Funeral service was Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Rex Boles officiating. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Veteran honors will be given by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with his medical bills.
