Dewey Willard “Pa” George, 71 of Campaign, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2023.

Mr. George was a United States Army veteran of Korea, retired employee of Warren Mechanical Contractors and member of Oasis Church in McMinnville.  “Pa” loved his family, friends, fishing and working outside.          

He was the son of the late Willard George and Enzie Hillis. He was married to Joyce Faye White George of Campaign.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Rosemary Honeycutt; brother, Travis George; son, Carl Johnson and grandson, Jacob Johnson.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. George is survived by daughter, Stephanie (Kevin) Burtrum of Dunlap; son, Herbert (Amanda) Johnson of Dunlap; grandchildren, James, Kenzie and Lenzie Burtrum, Mary Faye Lando, Leslie and Hunter Johnson, Angelina and Donald Reeve and Kaylyn Johnson; great-grandchild, Leo Fuller; two sisters, Brenda (Steve) Walker of Rock Island and Vickie (Carl) White of the Bone Cave Community and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at Oasis Church in McMinnville with Steve Breedlove and Kevin Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at High’s and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Oasis Church.  

Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
