Dennis Dean Drake, 55, a Morrison resident and Davidson County native died June 2 at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Drake was a pharmacy line item manager with the Veterans Administration, a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church, and son of Yvonne Dodson Drake of McMinnville and the late George W. Drake.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sister Holly Lawson.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Noah and Haleigh Drake of Arab, Ala.; brothers and sister-in-law, Dustin Wayne and Karen Drake of Huntsville, Ala., Daniel Drake and George E. Drake of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Dustin Drake to officiate. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Warren County. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion 173. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High's.
