A resident of The Colony, Texas and native of Davidson County, Delores Eloise Davis, 83, was born June 5, 1930 and died Nov. 13 at her daughter’s residence in Texas following a six-month illness.A retired computer operator with Texas Instruments and a member of First Baptist Church in The Colony, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Daniel T. and Mildred LaFever Nellums. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Bradshaw.She was married April 1, 1956 to Charles W. Davis Sr., of The Colony, Texas. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Elaine J. Davis Jr. of Washington, D.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Julie L. and D. Thomas Barclay of The Colony, Texas; brother, Daniel C. Nellums of San Francisco, Calif.; and six grandchildren, Jennifer L. Bond, J. Bradford Barclay, Andrew T. Barclay, Charles D. Barclay, J. Daniel Davis and Allison M. Davis.A graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Crain Hill Cemetery with John D. Davis officiating.
