McMinnville resident and Warren County native Delma Ruth Davis Solomon, 83, was born Jan. 20, 1928 and died Nov. 4 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a lingering illness.A retired employee of Levi’s and member of Campaign Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Denny and Nora Magaline Pinegar Davis. She was married to William Marshall Solomon, who preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1993. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Marshall Solomon, three sisters and one brother.She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Edward Clay and Glenda Solomon of McMinnville, and James Earl and Pamela Solomon of Brentwood; five grandchildren, Clay Solomon of Texas, Tanya Taylor of Christiana, James Solomon Jr., of Nashville, Samantha Solomon Castro of Brentwood, and Corey Davis Solomon of Murfreesboro; five great-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Judy Davis McMunn and Robert of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating.
