David Wilson Bishop, 84

Huntsville, Ala., resident and Madison County, Ala., native, David Wilson Bishop, 84, was born July 19, 1927 and died Feb. 21 at Huntsville Hospital.
A retired employee of Chrysler Corporation, an avid volunteer with the Huntsville Senior Citizens and the Miracle League, he was the son of the late Horace and Mary Elizabeth Moss Bishop. He was married to Margaret Earline “Sue” Bishop, who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Robert and Charles Bishop; one sister, Pauline Delong; and half-brother, Edgar Holman.
He is survived by two sons, Buddy and Marc Bishop, both of Huntsville, Ala.; three daughters, Darlene Elkins and Rhonda Hill, both of Huntsville, Ala., and Annette Edger of Madison, Ala.; two sisters, Ruby Bishop of Akron, Ohio and Laurine Rice of Tennessee; and 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Patrick Johnson and Titus Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service Saturday at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
