Morrison resident and Grundy County native David Lance “Cobb” Fults, 77, was born July 21, 1945, and died Jan. 6, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford following an extended illness.
David worked a few jobs but retired from Tri-County Stone. However, he was most known from the Mobile gas station he owned and operated in Viola. He was a member of Viola Baptist Church and the son of the late Marhsall Frank Fults and Anna Belle McBride Woodlee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Belinda Fults and Patsy Ann Prince, brother Leland O’Neal Fults and nephew Brent Bain. Mr. Fults loved the outdoors and activities such as fishing. He also loved cooking and always tried to cook for family.
Mr. Fults is survived by sons David Lance Fults Jr. and Timothy Lynn Fults, both of McMinnville, daughter and sonin- law Brittany Paige and John Chamberlin of McMinnville, grandchildren Baylee Ashton Fults and Hannah Elizabeth Pugh, great-grandchildren Norah Aracelis Coffman, Mason James Pugh and Kennedy Rose Pugh, brother Robert (Linda) Fults of Morrison, sister-in-law Deamie Fults of Morrison, and nieces and nephews, Marvin Fults, Tammy Taylor, Bobby Fults and Julia Prince.
Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at High’s Chapel with Clayton Jones officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome. com.
