Danny Lee Vann, 65, a Marion County resident and Loudon County native, was born Jan. 16, 1953 and passed away Dec. 4 at Memorial Hospital of Chattanooga following a brief illness.


He was a systems programmer with IBM and son of Mary Ruth Dewey of Lenoir City and the late M.F. Vann.


Mr. Vann was married Aug. 19, 1973 to Jean Harbin Vann of Jasper, who survives. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Cristina Vann and Gary Reese of Ooltewah; grandchildren Brennan Reese and Riley Reese; two brothers Larry Vann of Dayton, Ohio, and Tommy Vann of Oklahoma; mother-in-law Carolyn Williams of McMinnville; brothers-in-law Curley Harbin, Tinker Harbin and Tony Harbin, all of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.


Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at High’s Chapel with Ryan Hendrick to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
