McMinnville resident and Tecumseh, Mich., native Daniel Jay Tilton, 52, died Dec. 12 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after a brief illness.
The co-owner of Timeout Sports Bar and the manager for Dependable Brakes, he was the son of the late William E. Tilton and Lois T. Purkey Tilton of McMinnville. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother Thomas Tilton, and sister-in-law Debbie Tilton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law Terry and Jonie Tilton of McMinnville, brother and sister-in-law Steve and Gena Tilton of McMinnville, nephews Steve Tilton and wife Adrienne of Takoma Park, Md., Kaleb Tilton and Nick Tilton, both of McMinnville, special sister-in-law Paula Patteuw and husband Bill of Adrian, Mich., and numerous other nieces, nephews and family members.
Funeral service is Thursday at 11 a.m. at High’s Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at his brother’s home today from 6 to 8 p.m. at 112 Ben Lomand Drive. Private visitation at the funeral home will be for family only.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
