Dan Lewis Smith, 63, of Livingston died Dec. 3 at his home.He was born Oct. 21, 1949 in Putnam County to the late Roy Davis and Ruby Nell Anderson Smith. He was a retired mental health administrator.He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cookeville, a licensed counselor, volunteer at Magnolia Place in Cookeville, member of the Overton County Historical Society, and on the Board of Directors of Smiths Chapel Cemetery.He is survived by his wife, Louise Smith of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Carrie Smith of Knoxville; grandchildren, Elsie and Celia Smith; and brothers, Ron and wife, Dotty Smith and Rick and wife, Judy Smith, all of Jamestown.Funeral services were held Dec. 6 at First United Methodist Church in Livingston with Dr. Randy Goodman, Dr. Drew Shelley, and Tyler Smith officiating.
