Curtis Hill Duncan, 81

McMinnville resident Curtis Hill Duncan, 81, was born Feb. 8, 1937 in Sparta and died Sept. 29 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

He was a retired maintenance technician with Freedom Industries, served his country with the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Church of Christ faith. In addition to his parents, Hill and Shirley Duncan he was preceded in death by sister Sharon Jane Duncan Womack, and granddaughters Olivia and Sophia Duncan.

Mr. Duncan is survived by his longtime companion of 35 years, Debbie Cantrell Nunley; his children Tina R. Duncan and Kevin B. (Jodie) Duncan; grandchildren Chase and Jade White, Jeff and Jeremy Duncan, and Seth Council; great-grandchildren Zoey and Brentlee White-Hobbs, Adelyn, Alayah, and Carmen Duncan, sister Mercalene Rigsby; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to caregivers Cathy Roberts, Barbara Lance, Theresa Sanders, Oleda McCormick, the staff of Sitters Etc., Shelby Ragland, Kindred Hospice, and Riverview Terrace.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Oct. 2, at McMinnville Funeral Home’s Chapel with Jonathan Womack officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery. Donations can be made to benefit Meals on Wheels. Online condolences may be made at
