McMinnville resident and Warren County native Coy Brown Gunter, 86, was born Feb. 12, 1929 and died Sept. 10 at his residence following a sudden illness.
A retired truck driver, he was the son of the late Floyd and Myrtle Blair Gunter. He was married to Vivian Benjamin Gunter, who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Myers, Nora Cummings and Jean Fratterelli.
He is survived by daughters, Cherie Pruett, Kelly Copri and another daughter; son William Barrett; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sister and brother-in-law, Alta and Leo Donley of Morrison.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Blues Hill Presbyterian Church with Lyon Walkup officiating. Inurnment will follow at Gunter-Grizzell Cemetery in Cannon County. There will be no visitation at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
