McMinnville resident and Warren County native Clifford Harris Davis Jr., 68, was born April 21, 1943 and died April 27 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.
A retired employee of A.O. Smith and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Clifford H. Davis Sr., and Betty Bell Davis Witty.
He was married Oct. 16, 1965 to Gail Hixson Davis of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters and son-in-law, Betty Davis, Julie Davis and Susan Davis, all of McMinnville, and Angela and Kevin Deason of Viola; son, Joshua Watts of McMinnville; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Evon Davis, Charles and Linda Davis, and James and Joyce Davis, all of McMinnville and several nephews. 
Funeral service will be held at noon today in High’s Chapel with Dennis Deweese officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service today at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
