Clara Lois Grime Fitch, 84

Mt. Zion community resident and Lebanon native Clara Lois Grime Fitch, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 3, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
The daughter of the late Coley Alline Bass Grime and Joseph Hall Grime of Lebanon, she was preceded in death in 1986 by her husband of 35 years, Jonah L. Fitch; sisters, Sarah Settle and Rebecca Jennings and brother, Harvey Grime.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of McMinnville and a member of the Mary and Martha Sunday School class. She was a graduate of Cumberland College of Lebanon and taught school in Wilson County and McMinnville and taught piano. She was also a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Emily and Paul Kelly, Ellen Wells, Nancy and Don Peek; son, Charles Fitch; grandsons and spouses, Bryan and Jacqueline Dayton, David and Kelly Dayton, John and Terri Dayton, Derry and Kim Wells, Aaron and Emily Wells and Jacob Peek; 12 great-grandchildren, Pierce, Coulter, Claire, Lilly, and Kane Dayton, Brandon Turner, Kallie Dayton, Jonah, Anna Grace, Lila, Roman and Solomon Wells; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Cook, Betty and Tommy Nokes; sister-in-law, Panda Grime, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in McMinnville with Curtis Erwin, John May and Flyn Jennings officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at High Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
