Christine Wilson Gilstorf, 93

McMinnville resident and Overton County native Christine Wilson Gilstorf, 93, was born May 12, 1921 and died Dec. 18 at Raintree Manor following a brief illness.
A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late James Bedford and Emily Jane Smith Wilson. She was married July 1945 to Theodore Adolph Gilstorf, who preceded her in death in August 1978. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Charlene Wilson, Ela Ray Durham, Edna Dotson and Mina Turner; and three brothers, Joe Horace Wilson, James Bedford “Red” Wilson, and James Ulas “Buck” Wilson.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, David and Patti Gilstorf of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Kristy Lasser of Smithville and Susan Burks and husband Matthew of McMinnville; three stepchildren and spouses, Charlie and Julie Walker of Fayetteville, Luke Walker of McMinnville, and Lorin and James Walker of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren, Hannah Lasser, Emily Lasser, Allie Lasser, Matthew Lasser, Theodore Burks and Stella Burks; three step-great-grandchildren, Michael Walker, Elizabeth Walker and Claudia Walker; three nieces, Barbara Hall of McMinnville, Judy Adkins of Summitville and Carolyn Matthews of Auburntown; and two nephews, Rich Wilson and Joey Wilson both of Michigan.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in High’s Chapel with Hershel Short officiating. Burial will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High’s.
