Christine Lavada Bell Dennis, 93, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at River Park Hospital.
She is survived by her sons Robert Glenn (Evon) Dennis and Larry Lee (Patricia) Dennis, all of McMinnville; grandchildren, LeAnn (Michael) Cartwright and Chad (Renea) Jones, all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren Zachary and Ethan Cartwright, Caleb and Darrick Jones, all of McMinnville; siblings, Gordon W. (Sara) Bell of Murfreesboro, Louella Johnson of the Centerhill community and Betty Penner of Hendersonville, N.C.; sister-in-law,  Ruby Bell of McMinnville; three nephews, eight nieces, other relatives and friends.
Ms. Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Delter D. and Edna Melton Bell; her husband of 55 years, Robert Lee Dennis; two brothers, Georgia Douglas Bell and William B. Bell; sisters, Juanita Tenpenny, Irene Youngblood and Geneva Nolan. 
She was a native of Cannon County and a resident of McMinnville since 2005. She retired from Woodbury Nursing Center and was a housewife. A longtime member of the Baptist Church, she was currently a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She wrote the Centerhill News Column in the Cannon Courier for 45 years.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Saturday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Cleo Moon and Kevin Burden officiating. Interment will follow at Centerhill Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
