Charles Walter Johnson, 78, of McMinnville died Thursday, July 19 at River Park Hospital.He was born March 17, 1934 in Van Buren County and was retired from Cumberland Lumber Company where he worked for 47 years.He was member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Willie and Thelma Lee Moore Johnson; daughter, Sherry Anita Johnson; sisters Mary Evelyn Johnson and Elma Jean Fults; brothers, Andy Porter Johnson and Shelby A. Johnson.Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Rose Hooper Johnson; children, Bonnie Sue and Steven Southard, Shena Ann George, and Mark Anthony Fults, all of McMinnville; sister, Annie Mae Priest of Perry Ohio, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Eversole will officiate.
