Mr. Charles Roger Jones, 54, of McMinnville died Friday, March 25, at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. 

He was born May 26, 1967, in McMinnville, was a former employee of S&W Manufacturing Co., Inc., M-Tech Manufacturing, also worked as a cook with Waffle House, and worked along-side Ronnie Perry with the food drive. Mr. Jones served his country with the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm and was preceded in death by mother Wanda Ann Miller Jones, sister Julie Ann Jones, and nephews Joshua Brandon Jones and Jonathan Bradley Jones.

Survivors include his father Valton Jones, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Ima Jones, sister and brother-in-law Vickie and Dewayne Patterson, and nieces and nephews Everett Chase III, Brittany Chase, Zachary Robinson, Savannah Jones, David Lee Caswell Jr., Shevi Dawn Patterson, Kayla Rae Patterson, and Travis Devin Patterson. Other family members and many friends also survive.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Banks Cemetery in Smithville, with military grave rites to be conducted by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. The Jones family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., and again Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
