Morrison resident and Fayetteville native Charles B. Craven, 84, was born May 6, 1927 and died May 25 at his residence following an extended illness.
A retired nurseryman and member of Bonner Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Owen W. and Lula May Smith Craven. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Alene Holmes and five brothers, James Craven, Bethel Craven, Owen Craven Jr., Floyd Carl Craven, and Donald Smith Craven.
He was married Nov. 26, 1956 to Ruth Roberts Craven of Morrison. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Novalyn Craven, Ricky and Andrey Craven, Johnnie and Brenda Craven and Bobby and Ozella Craven, all of the Smartt Station community; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ceva Charlene and Charles Ferrell of McMinnville and Terilynn and Anthony Nunez of Viola; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Stubblefield of McMinnville, and brother and sister-in-law, John and Rosemary Craven of McMinnville.
A graveside service and interment was held Thursday at Mt. View Cemetery on Highway 30 with Daniel Campbell officiating.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
