McMinnville resident and Warren County native Cecil Schuyler Hale, 74, was born July 12, 1940 and died Sept. 11 at his residence following a brief illness.A retired farmer and member of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late Hurshel S. and Mamie Ann Davenport Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Jean Cowan and brother Clyde Hurshel Hale.Mr. Hale is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Louis Jordan of the Centertown community; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sherry Hale of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Donald Cowan of the Centertown community; nieces and nephews, Dana (Ross) Womack of Murfreesboro, Rhonda (Don) Smith of Smyrna, Robin (Larry) Underhill of McMinnville, Jimmy (Pam) Cowan of the Centertown community and Elizabeth Boren of St. Louis, Mo.; several great-nieces, great-nephews and two great-great-nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in High’s Chapel with Lyon Walkup officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery at Barren Fork.
