Catherine Clendenon, 86, a McMinnville resident and Madison, Ala., native was born April 29, 1931 and died Aug. 29 at her residence following an extended illness.She was a homemaker, member of the Methodist Church and daughter of the late John and Beulah Mae Pearson Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Trenton Duncan in 1980; second husband, James P. Clendenon in 1989; two sons, Larry Duncan on March 7, 1994 and Steven Duncan in 1986; and four brothers, Paul, Buddy, Elmer and J.C. Phillips. Mrs. Clendenon is survived by two grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel and Linda; two brothers, Ray and Roy Phillips; and special friends, Paulette Wheeler and Tim Wheeler, both of McMinnville.
