Cassie Shantell Messick Myers, 42, a Morrison resident and Coffee County native, was born Oct. 9, 1974 and died Sept. 21 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.She was a self-employed painter, member of the Church of Christ, and daughter of Grady and Judy Messick of Morrison. Mrs. Myers was married to James E. Myers, who preceded her in death.In addition to her parents, she is survived by son, Chase R. Myers of Murfreesboro; aunts and uncles, Faye and Marvin Stotts of Summitville, and Gary and Pat Gooch of Arlington, Texas; special uncle Larry Gooch of McMinnville; and cousin Chris Messick of Atlanta, Ga.Graveside service and interment was held Saturday at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
