McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Carolyn Redmon Bond, 70, was born Aug. 17, 1941 and died Nov. 4 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.An employee of Security Federal and member of Madison Street Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Cephas and Wilma Young Redmon.She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Bond Gaj and husband Steve of Harvest, Ala.; three sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Tess Bond of Bristow, Va., Tim Bond of Spring Hill, and Randy Bond of McMinnville; brother, Bobby Redmon of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Travis Martin of McMinnville, Eric and Krista Bond of Bristow, Va., and Teddy and Audra Lee Gaj of Harvest, Ala., and special friend, Charlie Mayfield.Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery.
