Carolyn Jean King, 65, of Whitwell and formerly of Warren County, died Thursday, March 17. The daughter of the late Seth Ellis Layne and Imogene Dempsey Durham, Carolyn was a member of Whitwell First Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years Danny King; daughters Angela (Clinton) Odom of Rock Island, and Heather (Richard) Watkins of Sparta; son, Daniel (Tina) King of Sparta; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several aunts and uncles.
