Carl E. Robinson Jr. was born Feb. 7, 1949 in Woodbury to the late Laura Woods Robinson and Carl. E. Robinson Sr. He died Oct. 20 at River Park Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gertrude and Sam Woods; paternal grandparents, Unie and Ordie Robinson; and two brothers, Jackie Robinson and Wayne Robinson.He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Carlton Dowell of Goodlettsville; devoted sisters, Peggy Nevels of Nashville, Carolyn Barnhill, Eva Martin and Martha Robinson, all of McMinnville; devoted brother, Jesse (Marilyn) Robinson of Murfreesboro; great aunt, Ruth Lillard of Nashville; devoted niece, Lorie (Mark) Kronick of Manchester; devoted nephew, Dareus Barnhill; devoted friends, Charles L. Mount, Richard Babbs; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Services were held Sunday at Scales & Sons Funeral Home in Murfreesboro with Phillip Smith Jr. officiating.
