Brown Hardcastle, 88, a Nashville resident and Warren County native, was born June 12, 1930 and died June 18 at The Lodge at Natchez Trace following an extended illness.He was a United States Army veteran of Korea, member of Central Church of Christ, and son of the late Benjamin Roy and Veta Mai Vanhooser Hardcastle. Mr. Hardcastle was married Aug. 20, 1956 to Mary Charles Edwards Hardcastle, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother Floyd Hardcastle; and sisters Evelyn Martin, Roy Mai Warren, Melba Davis and Dorothy Cook.Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Julie Hardcastle of Kingston Springs and Michael and Laura Hardcastle of Burlington, N.C.; grandchildren, Hannah Hardcastle and Alex Hardcastle; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Muriel Harris of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at High’s Chapel with Ben Bailey and Steve Stubblefield to officiate.
