Brenda Love Cameron

Brenda Love Cameron died while a patient at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville with family members and friends by her side. She departed this life peacefully on Monday, Dec. 8.
She was born to the late Sam Love and Ruby Kate Love in LaGrange, Ga., on Feb. 13, 1948. She was a 1966 class member of Ethel W. Knight High School. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She had a strong faith and was a true believer. She joined Mount Beulah Baptist Church at an early age where she was a faithful member. After her marriage, she became a member of Springfield Baptist Church and active member in the choir, she served on the usher board; she was active in Bible study and also served as a deaconess. Later on, her family moved to McMinnville. Brenda became a member of Clark United Methodist Church. Always graced with a lovely voice, she sang in the choir – her favorite song “O Lord, How Excellent”, she also served as an usher and communion steward. Shortly thereafter, Brenda became the First Lady at Braden United Methodist Church and Ballard Chapel United Methodist Church in Carthage, TN. She was a member of the Eastern Star of LaGrange chapter No. 474.
She worked at Dunson Mill for many years and did light housekeeping. A woman full of grace and dedication to her family, she did not meet any strangers, always smiling and laughing. Brenda had a heart for people. She had a passion and love for gardening, collecting and receiving greeting cards. A big collector of angels that always surrounded her. She collected churches, apples, baskets and birdhouses. Brenda enjoyed cooking meals and entertaining her family.
She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. As we celebrate and honor her life, we will be consoled by the thought that our love for her will forever be in our hearts.
She touched so many lives with her loving kindness, laughter, humble sweet spirit. Brenda leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband for 49 years, Willie Lee Cameron; her children, Katrina (Roger) Jones of Conyers, Ga., Sebrina (Charles) Brown of Conyers, Dechane (Anita) Cameron of McDonough, Ga., Sidrick (Katina) Cameron of LaGrange, Ga., Brandon (Kayla) Cameron of Murfreesboro; and grandchildren, Dr. Brianna Cameron, Eric Jones, Erika Jones, Taryn Brown, Damaris Brown, Tyler Brown, Camille Cameron, Sidney Cameron, Sidrick Cameron, Jr., Shawn Cameron, Alexis Cameron, Jasmine Cameron, Marcus Cameron, Elijah Cameron, and Adrian Cameron. A host of aunts, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral service is noon Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Albert Strawther will officiate. A service and interment will follow on Monday in LaGrange, Ga. The Cameron family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., and again Friday from 10 a.m. until noon at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
