Brenda Lee Slager Smith, 52, of Cookeville died Tuesday, Oct. 25, at River Park Hospital in McMinnville.She was born April 8, 1959 in Cookeville to the late Peggy Joyce Baldwin.Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by a son, James Lee Slager.She is survived by her husband, David Earl Smith; two children, Jenifer Stover, and Brandon Lee (Rhoda) Slager of Cookeville; one sister, Debra Ann (Steve) Nunn of Plant City, Fla. She is also survived by an uncle, Carsie (Marsha) Baldwin; two aunts, Minnie Bell Curtin and Patricia Wright of Murfreesboro. She is also survived by four grandchildren.The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. until noon at Zion Church of Christ in Jackson County.
