Athens, Ala., resident and Warren County native Brenda Joyce Bratten, 72, was born April 5, 1940 and died June 12 at Limestone Health Facility in Athens, Ala., following an extended illness.A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Haskel and Wyona Jones Neal. She was married Sept. 19, 1959 to Lemmie Sherlie Bratten Jr., who preceded her in death June 3, 2002. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Andrew Kimery.
