Bonnie Anne Brown Justin of Lancaster, Texas, passed from this life Monday, June 4, 2018. She was 73.

Bonnie was born July 30, 1944, in McMinnville to Buster and Nelma Brown. She was also the daughter of A.R. “Happy” Justin. Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of McMinnville High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

At the time of her death, Bonnie was the owner and operator of Bonnie Justin Bookseller, which began in Atlanta, Ga., and later relocated to Lancaster, Texas. Bonnie’s sweet smile and infectious personality touched many lives along her journey. She will be missed by all.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and her aunts and uncles, Eva Young, Pearline Wright, Lossie Pursley, Flossie B. Hennessee, David E. Brown and James B. “Buddy” Brown.

She is survived by her aunt, Mary McCulley of Chattanooga, and cousins Maurice (LeeOna) Young of Etowah, Ken (Peggy) Wright of Huntsville, Ala., Ronnie (Carlene) Brown of McMinnville, Cynthia (Charles) Knight of Rossville, Ga.; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank Ms. Claudia Calhoun for her loving care of Bonnie during the last years of her life. The family also wants to thank Bonnie’s neighbors Jo Ann and Vernon Scott for many years of care and support.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. CST Saturday, Aug. 25, at Mt. View Cemetery with Tommy Vann to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CHEER Mental Health Center, 120 Omni Drive, McMinnville, 37110, an organization founded by Bonnie’s mother, Nelma Justin, or to First United Methodist Church, 200 W.
