Bonnie A. Roberts Greene, 78, a McMinnville resident and Jefferson County, Kansas native, was born July 7, 1936 and departed this earth Dec. 26.
She was a nurse aide and ward clerk at the Warren County Hospital, and medically retired from River Park Hospital in 1992.
A member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Sophia Bryant Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Spencer Lively; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Russ Penry and Betty and Charlie Coon; two brothers, John Ivan Roberts and Wilbert Bud Roberts; seven half-brothers and sisters; and brother-in-law, Dale Rodecap.
She was married Dec. 7, 1952 to her husband of 62 years, Virgle Lee Greene of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Beverly and Pat Greene of McMinnville, and Cathy Greene of McMinnville; granddaughter, Tatum Leigh Prater of McMinnville; grandson, Lee Garrett Taylor of McMinnville; great-granddaughter, Ginny Ann Hodges of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Junedale and Doyle Pemberton; three sisters-in-law, Ruby Elkins and Inez Pitmon both of McMinnville, and Lela Roberts of Topeka, Kansas; two step-grandchildren, Brandi Hodges and Zack Greene; two step-great-grandchildren, Cole and Asher Wallace; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews from both Kansas and McMinnville; special cousin, Aubrey Green; and special friends, Jean and Larkin Cantrell and Bill and Willene Norris.
Funeral service was held Saturday in High’s Chapel with Randall Gann and Titus Ward officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Spencer Lively Memorial Scholarship Fund at Warren County High School.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
