Bonita Reynolds, 75, of McMinnville died Saturday, Aug. 31, at Raintree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville.
She was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Warren County. She married her childhood sweetheart, James (J.B.) Reynolds in 1954. She was a loving homemaker, licensed beautician, former assembly line worker with Carrier Corp., for 28 years, and a member of Northside Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the children’s ministry. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family. She had a kind heart and sweet spirit. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. Her hobbies included cooking for others, reading, and quilting.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Ophia Lee Crawford Ross, her twin sister Juanita Ross, sister Dorothy Slatton, and brother Wesley Ross.
Survivors include her husband J.B. Reynolds, her children James Michael Reynolds (Janice), Kathy Marie Walker (Brady), both of McMinnville, special granddaughter Kimberly Haynes (Bart) of Yuma, Ariz., grandchildren Sha Wanamaker (Chris), Jason Walker (Sommer), Ericka Todd (Jamie), Blaka Reynolds (Nikki), and Brett Youngblood (Kevin), and 16 great-grandchildren. Her sisters Judy Williams (Junior), Charlene Ward (Don), and brother Wayne Ross (Kathy), many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at Northside Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Thursday. Bro. Danny Griffith and Bro. Michael Carr will officiate. Interment will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. The Reynolds family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. and, again Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
