Mr. Bobby Ray Jacobs, 72, of McMinnville died Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at his residence. 

He was born May 29, 1949, in McMinnville served in the National Guard, worked as a quality inspector for over 35 years with Carrier Air Conditioning, and was a member of Bratchers Crossroads Free Methodist Church. Bobby was a Boy Scout in his youth and later became a youth leader with the Boy Scouts, was active in church youth camps, loved camping and fishing, and enjoyed horseback riding. He was preceded in death by his parents Edzel Arnett and Berdie Dean Smith Jacobs, brother Terry Jacobs, and granddaughter Raegan Simons.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Pam Jacobs, children Jonathan (Kandy) Jacobs and Stephanie Jacobs, siblings Delma Faye (Andy) Tinsley, Wayne (Joy) Jacobs, and Robbie (Wendell) VanValin, grandchildren Keely Jacobs, Leah Jacobs, and Kolby Simons, great-grandchild Asa Jacobs and a great-grandchild on the way. Many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.

Funeral service for Mr. Jacobs will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Bratchers Crossroads Free Methodist Church. Bro. Bobby Wheeler and Bro. Charlie Shoemaker will officiate. Interment will follow at Centertown Cemetery. The Jacobs family received friends on Tuesday and again Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bratchers Crossroads Free Methodist Church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be made at
