Bobby Ballew, 67, a Rock Island resident and White County native, died Sept. 27 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a self-employed mechanic, member of the Church of Christ and son of the late Joe Washington and Anna Lou Simmons Ballew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Daniel Ballew and brothers, Harold, Frank and Jack Ballew.
