Spencer resident and Warren County native “Bird Dog” Dodson, 65, was born Feb. 22, 1958 and died March 9, 2023 following an extended illness.           

A truck driver with Gary Hankins Logging and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Ruth and Frank Dodson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ronnie and Danny Dodson.

Mr. Dodson is survived by son, Terry "T.J." (Kristy) Dodson, Jr. of Doyle; grandchildren, Ethan Dodson of Doyle, Emma Dodson of Spencer and Kyleigh Dodson; sister, Kathy (Glenn) Bickford of Bone Cave; brother, John (Julie) Dodson of Bone Cave and special friends, Wanda King, John Hankins and Dale and Leatha Kincer.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at Beech Cove Cemetery in Van Buren County with John Hankins officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. There will be no service or visitation at High Funeral Home.
