Billy Howard Watts, 84, a Rock Island resident and Gentry, Tenn., native was born Aug. 21, 1933 and died April 18 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, retired antique store owner, and son of the late James Carl and Minnie Myrtle Scarlett Watts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Mary Ann Watts.
Mr. Watts was married June 24, 1989 to Patricia Hash Watts, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Sarah Watts of Cookeville, and Synthia and Brett Bouldin of Morrison; son William Watts of Cookeville; four grandchildren Cody Watts and Greg Watts, both of Cookeville, Sylas Bouldin and Aspyn Bouldin, both of Morrison; brother James Millis Watts of Cookeville; and two nephews, David Watts and Dale Watts, both of Cookeville.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Friendship Cemetery with Jim Hunt to officiate. Visitation will be 12 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
