Billie Evelyn Kesey Panter, 72

Hills Creek community resident and Warren County native Billie Evelyn Kesey Panter, 72, was born April 3, 1939 and died Dec. 19 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville following an extended illness.A co-owner of Hills Creek Nursery and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John and Zada Curtis Kesey. She was married Oct. 31, 1958 to Bobby Panter of the Hills Creek community. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Ginger and Keith Wanamaker of McMinnville, and Ted and Veronica Panter and Jeffery Panter, all of the Hills Creek community; six grandchildren, Brandi Panter, Brently Panter, Cassie Wanamaker, Cristian Chaparro, Austin Panter and Sara Panter; brother and sister-in-law, Dickie and Lennie Kesey of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. today at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek with Bob Deason officiating.
