Beulah Mae Powers McBee, 88

McMinnville resident and Franklin County native Beulah Mae Powers McBee, 88, was born Dec. 1, 1930 and died Dec. 23 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Nancy Jane Sherrill Powers. She was married to James Albert McBee, who preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2018. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother Andrew Jackson Powers Jr.

She was a very active member of the Hickory Creek Home Demonstration Club for over 30 years.

Mrs. McBee is survived by son and daughter-in-law Don and Nancy McBee of McMinnville; two granddaughters Lauren McBee of Chattanooga, and Ashley McBee of McMinnville; sister Annie Sue Sherrill of Franklin County; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Jacqueline DeBerry and Rev. Harry Green officiating. Graveside service and interment followed Thursday at Gum Creek Cemetery in Franklin County with Rev. Rocky Whray officiating.
