Beulah Mae Brown, 91, died Wednesday, April 5, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital due to complications of pneumonia. She was born in LaHunta, Colo., on Jan. 16, 1926, to Harvey W. and Honor Eda Nettie Dockum Nester, who preceded her in death, along with her husband, James Edward “Cat Bird” Brown.She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Irene Layman and Eda Mae (Johnny) Sanderson; son, Harvey Edward Brown; grandchildren, Scott Sanderson, Shadie Ray (Brenda) Rankhorn and Shelia (Robert) Orcutt; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was a teacher’s helper, PTA president, adult education teacher, worked for Headstart, sold Avon, worked with 4-H and Girl Scouts.
