Betty Sue (Griffin) Vinch, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in Bradenton, Fla., surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in McMinnville on Oct. 29, 1937 to Estie and Vera Griffin and was one of eight children.
Surviving daughters include Catherine Denise (Vaughn) Curtis of Bradenton, Fla., Cheryl Ann (Ralph) Perkins of Tallahassee, Fla., Cherish Marie Vinch of Aurora, Colo., Jessica Lynn (Logan) Higdon of Morganton, N.C., grandsons Philip Stewart Bayne, Jeremy Allard Bayne, Landon Malcolm Perkins and Robert Jenkins, granddaughter Kiara Snow Higdon, great-granddaughter Ayla Bayne, sister Dian Green, and sister-in-law Earlene Griffin of McMinnville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings and daughter Debra Sue Bayne.
Betty enjoyed cooking, decorating, football, playing cards and Bingo. She will be fondly remembered for her joyful, fun-loving spirit filled with love for her family, friends and God.
Betty requested her ashes be carried to her birthplace of Tennessee where the remains of her beloved family members and daughter have been laid to rest. A future date for the spreading of her ashes is yet to be determined.
