Betty R. Roark, 50, of McMinnville died Sunday, June 2 at Cumberland Medical Center after an extended illness.Betty was born in McMinnville on Dec. 13, 1962, the daughter of Mary E. (Nunley) Winningham of McMinnville and the late Whaler Stevens.She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church of Pikeville and was a factory worker.In addition to her mother, she is also survived by longtime companion, Oscar Alvarez of McMinnville; daughter, Elizabeth Y., and husband Markcus Boren of Lebanon; son Joel J. Roark of Lebanon; sister, Phyllis, and husband Vernon Dewesse of Pikeville; five brothers, Terry G. Neal of McMinnville, Johnny K., and wife Wanda Neal of McMinnville; Charles R. Stevens of McMinnville, Phillip L. Stevens of McMinnville; Robert E. Stevens of McMinnville; four grandchilden, Taylor E. Turner, Isabella R. Cantrell, Lonnie Boren, and Jaiden Cantrell.She is to be cremated and her ashes given to her family.
