Ms. Betty Marsh Redmon, 79, of McMinnville died Saturday, March 3, at NHC Health Care in McMinnville.
She was born Dec. 28, 1938, in McMinnville, was a member of Arlington Church of Christ, a retired employee of Carrier with 28 years of service, an avid Tennessee Vols and Titans fan. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and cooking, was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ms. Redmon was preceded in death by mother Pelina Jones Marsh, sisters Dottie West, Nell Estes, Barbara Davis, and Edith Copley, brothers, Ozie, Owen, and Kelton Marsh, and son-in-law Jimmy Shields.
Survivors include her children Neva (Barry) Nelson, Tina (Jeffrey) Hobbs, Cyndi (Brad) Cantrell, and David (Dee Dee) Thrower, grandchildren Kyle (Ashley) Hobbs, Derek (Ashley) Hobbs, Megan (Jon) Paz, Nathan (Caitlin) Cantrell, Nick (Sarah) Cantrell, Erica Cantrell, Laura (Cody) Smartt, and Michael Thrower, great-grandchildren Alec, Felecity, Natalie, Sky, Kylee, Ella Jane, Knox, Kannon, Kase, Ezra, and Corbin, sister Diane (Harold) Poss, and brother Everette (Sandy) Marsh. Other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Wayne Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
