McMinnville resident and Warren County native Becky Ross, 59, was born June 18, 1962 and died Jan. 4 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired material handler from Federal Mogul and a member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of the late Tommy D. and Betty Jean Campbell Sweeton. She was married to Richard Allen, who preceded her in death Nov. 22, 2020. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Sweeton and Jimmy Sweeton.
Mrs. Ross is survived by son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Michelle Christian of McMinnville, grandchildren Laney (London) Christian of McMinnville, and Madison, Kaleb, and Bryan Christian Jr., sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and William Fults of McMinnville, two brothers and sister-inlaw Dewayne and Renee Sweeten of McMinnville, and Johnny Sweeton of Rock Island, adopted son Tim Mathis of McMinnville, special friends Jo Boyd of McMinnville, and Jennifer “Boo” Hamilton of Smithville, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, at High’s Chapel with Johnny Haston officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County.
