Bearl Domer Wylie, 93, a McMinnville resident and Jackson County native, was born Nov. 29, 1927 and died Oct. 18 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was an electrician at Magnetek, a retired United States Army veteran of World War II, a member of the non-Denominational faith, and the son of the late Willie N. and Mamie Spivey Wylie Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Jewell Jordan Wylie, son Don Wylie, brothers Earl, Odus, and Willie Wylie Jr., and sisters Georgia King, Betty Wylie, and Merlene Hall.

Mr. Wylie is survived by daughter-in-law Kathy Wylie of Calhoun, Ga., son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Julie Wylie of St. Lucie, Fla., daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Phillip Crowe of McMinnville, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, brother Omer Wylie of Gainsboro, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in High’s Chapel with Carl Crowe and Greg Sweeton officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
